World DipCon VI
A Collection of Reports and Photographs
A number of people from The Diplomatic Pouch were on hand at the joint
DipCon XXIX/World DipCon VI, held in
Columbus, Ohio. Now you can experience the event vicariously
through their words.
- In Commentarium V, by Jamie
McQuinn,
you can read about Jamie's impressions of the Origins gaming convention
which hosted the DipCons this time around, and on his experiences at the
table in each of the fun-filled days.
- Larry Peery, in
Yes, But Is It Really a
Foreign Hobby?, offers his unique "Peerispective" on the event,
focusing on answering the title question from his position as chairman
of the event.
- In Simon Szkyman's A Play By E-Mail
Player's Perspective, read some insightful reflections on playing
the game in its different forums.
- Manus Hand's Report from The
Trenches
is a blow-by-blow account of Manus's experiences at the Convention, with
a narrative of the events leading up to the crowning of the new World Champion.
- Speaking of the new World Champion, Pitt Crandlemire offers you his own
restrospective on the event in his next installment of
The Big Dipper
column.
- Last but certainly not least, be sure to check out the
Photographs from the Convention,
where you can either see what you missed, or re-live the good time you had!
