The ARMADA DTM is a Microsoft Windows application used to seed and score
Diplomacy tournaments. Sounds simple, doesn't it? But believe it or not,
there just plain didn't seem to be one of these. Anywhere. So the
ARMADA's fearless leader, Manus Hand, set out to create one. With invaluable
assistance from a couple of other ARMADA members, notably Bob Steinke, the
program was ready in time for use during the ARMADA's first "Regatta"
tournament in the year 2000.
The current DTM represents
the latest in tournament seeding and scoring assistance. With the DTM,
a tournament director can concentrate on directing the tournament, not on
the mundane tasks of who plays who and how many points each player has
earned.
At DipCon XXXIV, the DTM performed without problem and was the subject of
interest for other tournament directors who were in attendance. With the
enhancements suggested by these directors and others, the DTM has made
its way into use worldwide.
Just some of the actual use credits of the DTM include:
Read the Manual
The DTM documentation (in Microsoft Word format) will let you see exactly

read the documentation, you will actually know what the program does.
(If Microsoft Word support is not integrated into
your Web browser, hold the SHIFT key down while clicking,
and choose to save the DTM.DOC file to your disk.)
Download a Copy
Yes, you too can have your own copy of the DTM. Because
we want to keep a good handle on who all has it
(for update notices, etc.), please send me an email to let
