Russian End of Game Statement

Thank you all for an exciting game. I did indeed miscount things - I thought that France and I would be going to a 2-way draw.
I just couldn't deliberately stab France towards the end. Not on purpose in any event. He was the only one that didn't seriously double-cross me over the course of the game.
It was pretty bloody in the beginning I thought - with Germany being so assertive, I could resist the stab against him and was betting that France wouldn't mind. I think the early collapse of Germany really catapulted the middle game into a frenetic pace.
I kept hoping that Turkey and I would get along - because I had an axe to grind against Austria that I wanted to indulge (now offense personally Jeff). But in the end, I think Turkey just couldn't see the benefit to an alliance with me.
Italy's play however was in several instances ingenious - especially in fending off France. Very nice Mary. I think in the end, that served to stall France aggression while Russian interests where sufficiently advanced so that I could just creep forward, and forward, and forward.
