The PiggyBack Society for Pacific Northwest Diplomacy announces:
The Second Annual HOuseGame Recruitment SEarch, or HORSE RACE 2006
HORSE RACE 2006 awards points to people who play in or host PSPND HouseGames in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, & British Columbia). Points are awarded as follows:
Hosting a HouseGame: 25 points
Hosting a HouseGame that has new players: 4 point bonus per new player
Bringing a new player to a HouseGame: 12 point bonus per new player
Attending any HouseGame that has new players: 2 point bonus per new player
Attending any HouseGame: 10 points per HouseGame
Attending any HouseGame as a new player: 15 points per HouseGame
NOTE: Points for Hosting and Attending HouseGames are mutually exclusive; you are either a Host or an Attendee.
A HouseGame is defined as any PSPND affiliated, non-tournament gathering where at least one game of Diplomacy or any Diplomacy variant is played. Points are for publicly announced HouseGames open to any attendee without charge. Private, invitational HouseGames that meet all other criteria count at half points if and only if there is at least one new player present, otherwise no points are awarded.
A new player is defined as a player who has never before attended a recognized PSPND HouseGame or Tournament. Once identified as a new player, they count as a new player for point awards for all of 2006, though points are awarded for bringing them only once.
Bringing a new player is defined as being the person responsible for a new players attendance; in other words, the player would not be there if it wasnt for your outreach and recruitment efforts.
Consistent with the HORSE RACE theme, prizes will be awarded for Win, Place, and Show based on a players cumulative point total for 2006:
WIN (1st Place): *FREE* registration at ALL 2007 Pacific Northwest PSPND tournaments!
PLACE (2nd Place): *FREE* registration at any ONE 2007 Pacific Northwest PSPND tournament!
SHOW (3rd Place): *1/2 PRICE* registration at any ONE 2007 Pacific Northwest PSPND tournament!
