This was the first year of the West Coast Swaggle. This is an award given to the individual accumulating the highest combined tournament standing from the West Coast Diplomacy Tournament Events for that year. In 2004 there were four qualifying tournaments: WACcon in Seattle, Piggyback in Portland, Dip 'n the Ocean in Vancouver, and Dragonflight in Seattle.
